England maintain dominance over New Zealand on day two

Wellington: After being dismissed for 465, the English have snared the scalps of Peter Fulton, Hamish Rutherford and Ross Taylor to leave New Zealand 66 for three in reply.

Earlier, left-arm spinner Bruce Martin was New Zealand’s leading performer with four wickets and he says removing Kevin Pietersen for 73 was a highlight.

England wicketkeeper Matt Prior says they finished the day with their tails up.

Prior says those late wickets were vital and he’s taking his hat off to the bowlers.

England maintain its dominance over the Black Caps still 399 behind.
